..11 views and not one of them seems to be able to help..Does this mean there is no downloadable tutorial available for tally 5.4..

Actually, that means Tally has little to do with the basic SOHO networking discussions that take place across these forums.

Nice to see a reply after so many days, thanks.
I think u must be getting similar queries quite too often.
Very recently i came to know about tally from a friend.she was using Tally5.4 so i just installed it from her.I dont have any formal trianing in accounts or any accounting software.I normally like to fiddle around softwares which i think might be intresting ..thats all.
Hoping someone-who-can help me in this query will visit this post

Deepa, unfortunately since Tally appears to have nothing to do with networking, the chances of that occurring is probably very slim. The previous mis-posting basically resulted in no response.

Why don't you contact the publisher directly at www.tallysolutions.com and get the answer straight from the source?

I did..i was informed to buy a copy of the tutorial..( book)..instead i was looking for a soft copy that will make the first time user comfortabe with the workspace envi and the tools..

..i perosnllay find such tutorial more hlpful the first time than the paperback

It sounds like Tally Solutions would rather have folks go directly through them based on the past posting for exactly the same information that received exactly the same lack of response.
