Hi,

I use network bridging to access Xbox Live. Until recently it has been working perfectly, and as far as I'm aware I have not changed any internet settings etc.
Usually I would bridge my wireless connection with the Local Area Connection and then Xbox Live would be working. However in the last couple of days every time I bridge the connections I lose my internet connection on my computer which means I can't connect to Live. As soon as I remove the bridge the connection comes back. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Cheers

Since the XBox has practically no network troubleshooting tools within it, you probably need to start the troubleshooting by replacing the XBox in the configuration with possibly a PC. That way, you can query the IP configuration and perform basic network troubleshooting from the perspective of the XBox.

Surely its a problem on the laptop though if I am losing connection on there as soon as I bridge the connections. I doubt I would be able to pick anything up to troubleshoot on another PC.

I can bridge my Local Area Connection without losing my connection, as soon as I add the Wireless connection to the bridge I lose all connection on my laptop.

When I bridge the connections, it says a cable is unplugged underneath the bridge. It won't let me disable the bridge either. Everything is plugged in correctly. As soon as I delete the bridge my connection reappears.

On a very remote chance...

There is not much to bridging, it is either working or not. Knowing what the XBox "sees" may help.
