Alright im a noob at this so excuse if i leave anything out:
-using d-link DI-524 wirelesss router connected into a comcast modem
-cant find my gateway address which leads to many problems like unable to secure network and to enable connection with my laptop
-tryed to find gateway ip with cmd, typed in ipconfig /all but shows my unique ip address not my routers homepage address
-tryed to go to my routers ip by typing 192.168.1.0 and 192.168.1.1
-i was able to access my routers homepage before but when someone in my family touched something with the wiring at the back it just got all screwed up.
-put back all the wires in right placed and disabled my firewall to try to see if it works- it didnt.
-pressed the reset button for 10-30 secs but still it didnt reset the default settings of my router
