I apologize in advance as I'm not very technically savvy. Please let me know if anyone needs additional information.

My husband set up our wireless router a few months ago, all was ok until recently. I've tried unplugging both the router and modem (for at least a minute), rebooting the computer, and it's still giving me problems. The IP address is 192.168.1.101 and we're using an old Dell PC with Windows '03. Just one computer is set up under this connection. The speed is 54.0 Mbps with an "excellent" signal strength, yet we can't access the internet.

Thanks in advance!

The first thing that you need to determine is the functionality of your ISP and/or modem. If you are on a cable network ISP, then you should be able to connect your PC directly to the cable modem. For DSL, you may need to install their required software in order to "log into" the DSL service.

If the system is unable to connect onto the Internet when directly connected to the "modem," then it is the ISP service which may require the assistance of the ISP. If it does work, then it may be your wireless NAT router in which your best bet is to contact the manufacturer of the equipment at that point.

thank you! I'm assuming it's an issue with the router since we have cable. I appreciate your help!

Since you have cable, test out the cable modem and ISP first by directly connecting the system without the wireless NAT router.

the cable company was able to fix it - I simply had to unplug the router for about 30 sec. At least it was an easy fix.

Again, thank you!
