wireless icon

windows xp on here and now i have no wireless icon at the bottom like i used to i have went to my networking icon and theres no wireless there either how do i find it and use it again PLEASE!!!!:eek:

You are probably missing the driver for your wireless NIC. It may be on a separate CD that came with the system or specifically with the NIC, if it is an after-market one.

what do i need to do then to try and get it back up there, also have another question for you, there was sound on here befor i put the new windows on here now i have no sound did i mess up the soundcard too?:eek:

The manufacturer of the card or computer. In most cases, it should have been shipped with the equipment too.

This has nothing to do with networking. It's an OS functionality issue. In this case, caused by the reinstallation.
