does ip address depends on the server (example if you're using a dial-up connection) & what does it mean if the physical address ends in 00-00-00?

follow up question: do you need to have an internet or a network connection inorder to get the ip address of your computer??

The IP address assigned by DHCP depends on the DHCP server and the IP address pool that it has available along with its various timer settings. An active DHCP server (i.e. NAT router) is needed in order to obtain an IP address assignment on a DHCP client (i.e. computer).

Most MAC address combinations should not end with 00-00-00, but some may. The front portion identifies the hardware manufacturer (assuming it has licensed correctly).
