Linksys BEFSX41 Performance?

The Linksys BEFSX41 gets very bad marks on performance from two user reviews. The other 8, all positive user reviews as well as the site's positive review, do not address performance.

The negatives are pretty extreme -- degradation down to 30% or even worse (3meg down to 0.15-0.50). This is a crucial factor in buying.

Can anybody report good performance? Or all the positive reviewers not even measuring?

I see now that one of the posts on performance problems was retracted. So, there's only one left. Besides that, I've seen nothing else anywhere on such a problem. Finally, I asked LinkSys support and they say:

>I would like to inform that as far as I know, BEFSX41, behaves like any
>other linksys router. The only difference is that it has two additional
>feature - firewall and VPN.

So, I'm assuming it's OK.

;) Actually dood the BEFSX41 is actually one of the best routers that i have, i have 2 routers actually the BEFSR41 and a BEFSX41 they both fuction in an orderly manner, but the difference between them is that the SX41 has a VPN capabilities, i could network my moms computer (She is in chicago)and my computer also (Im in irvine) there is no negative performance on my SX41. i would suggest try to call LinkSys technical support. they have excellent Tech support there.
