Help-How do I partition a Storage drive

I have just created my first "network" with a XP -PC linked to a WD MyBookWorld Edition NAS through a Netgear DG834v3 router/modem (ethernet) to the Internet. Things seem to work OK but I would like to partition the Hard drive into two (a) 100 GB and (b) the remainder - about 600 GB - it is already formated NTFS. I've tried to use the windows XP mycomputer-manage-disk managment control but the storage drive does not appear. The Mionet software bundled with the drive offers no utility.
Can someone advise on the best way to proceed?

WD suport have finally advised "The MyBook World edition drive uses a Lenox based operating system and cannot be partitioned."
