Folder and File Permissions in WinXP

In a peer to peer network with XP Pro (12 users) there is a shared folder with files that we can't afford to have deleted by users, they have read & write priviliges, they do not logon with a password. There is a backup solution.

How may this best be accomplished?

There are various storage snap-shot solutions available both in hardware and software combinations/options.

These forums are focused around SOHO networking, thus the lack of response for this posting. What you have described at best is probably on the outer fringes of SOHO networking. You might try http://www.enterpriseitplanet.com, they also have a forum too and it is geared at business networks.
