Hello!

I want all my computers to be able to synchronize to a SNTP (=Simple Network Time Protocol) through my DI-524UP Router.

Without the router I can synchronize to any timeserver but with the router I get the error message “An error occurred when the operating system tried to synchronize with the timeserver.”

I have search through Internet and found that I must open up port 123 on my router.

Where shall I put in port 123? Shall I put it in under Virtual Server, Applications, Filters or Firewall?

Is there anymore things that I need to do to make it work?

Thanks!

Most SOHO NAT routers do not block outgoing ports by default, you might check your configuration for any rules concerning port 123. If you must create an enabling rule, then application or port (same thing, different terms by different manufacturers) triggering is what you might need.
