can;t access laptop

i am on a wireless network at my house using a belkline wireless router. my daughter came home from college, so i added her laptop to the network. she can surf the web and all, and i can see and open the other computers from her laptop, but on the other computer i can see her on the network, but it won't let me open her up. says don't have permission. path not found. i tried pinging her laptop but comes up timing out. using xp pro.i'm leting the software set the settings on all the computers. any ideas thanks

Based on your description, the first thing that comes to mind is anti-virus software running on the daughter's laptop. Find it, disable it, try again, and let us know.
