File sharing security problem.

Hi,
I have 4 xp installed system(system name a,b,c,d)in my network when i try to open shared file from system "a" to "b" it is openning with out asking any username & password when i try to open "b" to "d" it is asking username & password.

so what is the reson behind this ?

"Log Through" when the user name and password combinations match up.
