I have two Win XP machines netwroked via a hub using Internet Connection Sharing.

A 128 kbps cable modem goes directly into one computer.

Browsing or transfering files over the network runs at a nice high speed. Downloading files on either machine off the internet runs at a nice high speed.

However, browsing sites on both machines in IE is extreamly slow. Many pages time out, other times, the window immediately goes to "This page cannot be displayed".

I don't understand why browsing is so slow (and it is extreamly slow), yet file transfer rates are really fast.

Is this likely to be an XP problem or an ISP problem?

Any help would be appreciated.
