wireless to wireless to wlan

well i have a large place and 1 wireless just dont cut it with my laptop
now i have a idea but dont know if possable


cablemodem -> wireless1 channel 1 -> which wireless2 can connect to wireless 1


so i can be in the wireless 2 range and it talk to wireless 1 and out to the net

Yes.
Either you buy more Access Points and wire them all back to the router.
Or
You buy Access Points which support Wireless Distribution System (WDS). Then you only have to wire one Access Point to the router and the others talk to each other by wireless and relay the communication.
