Hello everybody,

There are two computers in my house. My brother uses one and is a very high risk user...he downloads porn and music, uses peer to peer programs, and goes to shady websites. He seems not to be worried about his own computer but I want to isolate my computer from his. Can I connect a second router to my existing router to create two seperate wireless networks in which if he gets viruses and spyware there is no chance of it getting onto my computer? Please let me know if this is a possible solution and extactly how I can do this. Thanks for reading!!

but a 2nd wireless router, plug the wan port into a switch port on the 1st port. Login to the 2nd router and set its dhcp to specify an ip address range on a different network (eg, if your old router's dhcp is dishing out 192.168.*.*, set your router's dhcp to dish out 172.16.*.*). the DHCP's shouldnt clash and this would put you on a completely different broadcast range of the 1st router.

Altho, if you keep your AV up to date and have good protection, you should't really need this.
