Hi Everyone,
I'm a newbie to this forum but I need your expert help! Please.
Does anyone know if this exists:
* Wireless Network Adapter (PCI or USB) that supports Wake-on-LAN
My setup is as follows:
1 x Linksys WAG54GS Wireless Router
1 x Fixed IP address
1 x Desktop PC (on different floor to router hence WLAN)
2 x HP Laptops
I would like to wake up the Desktop PC from work for brief spells and from any of the laptops. I have already proved that I can connect to the desktop from work using Dameware or VNC (using port-forwarding on my router). The only problem is I have to leave my computer on all day and often for a few days if i'm away on business.
Please help me if you can, as I cannot find a definitive answer. I've heard some say that they do, others say that they don't and some say its not possible.
Please somebody help before I have no hair left.
Regards,
Rob
