I need some basic step by step help setting up my home network. I was going to setup an ad-hoc network, but my laptop (supplied by my employer) would not be able to connect to the network at work if I did. The pieces of equipment I am using are;
An HP 7590n desktop running XP Media 2005 with;
Integrated 10/100Base-T network interface; high-speed 56K fax modem;
Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g.
A Bell Sympatico DSL connection using PPPoE.
A Netgear Router;
Netgear / WGR614 / 54Mbps / 802.11g / 4-Port / Cable/DSL / Wireless Router
A Vonage VOIP module.
The real issue I am having is when I begin to set it up, it finds the Tbase network interface, as well as the 2 other devices, and I am unsure which one I need to select as my wireless access point.
How I want the network setup;
Phone to DSL.
DSL to Vonage (VOIP).
VOIP to Netgear router.
--wireless--
Setup desktop PC as a client.
<<THIS IS ULTIMATELY NOT REQUIRED, BUT NICE>>
Setup laptop PC as a client. <<REQUIRED>>
Any help on this would be appreciated. Want to get this done!
Thanks.:)
