Hi,

I have an old HP 512x computer that I have been running wireless for years with a Netgear modem with no issues and then all of a sudden it stopped working.

I tried re-installing software - no change
Took wireless modem out and tried in another computer and it worked fine.
I hooked the computer to the router via a cable and computer it worked fine.

The computer sees the Netgear wireless modem okay but says there is NO wireless connections in range. I have it right beside the wireless modem.

Also I have two other wireless computers in the house that are working fine.

Running windows XP with E7

Any suggestions would be appreciated – thanks

Cross-posting/reposting doesn't get answers any quicker. It just confuses things, if different approaches are explored. Please pick one of the threads and stick to it for future postings on this subject.

There are also "common courtesy" aspects for others using these forums. So what that means... Unproductive postings (cross-posting, double posting, thread hi-jacking, etc.) ultimately degrade the effectiveness of the forums as an information source for all others.
