ok so the other today i bought my Microsoft 360 Wireless adapter. I've had wireless for a weeks now and am still relatively new to it, my first proper experience of it was today as ive spent the whole of it trying to get my 360 online!
i have windows xp SP2 or higher not sure
I have a Siemens Gigaset USB Adapter 108 plugged into my computer to hook it up to the net from some big box hidden downstairs somewhere , not sure.

so far i have tried:
just typing in the SSID of the thing attached to my pc and inputting the appropiate WPA key on the xbox 360, i have checked a box somewhere in my internet options to allow connection sharing aswell, all my network settings on the xbox are on automatic but i am unable to change :
Wireless Mode and Network type??
is this normal? at the momment they are 'not set'

also i have tried the windows connect now tool on the microsoft website which resulted in an error message whilst reconnecting my USB stick to my computer.

Also on my 'site monitor' on my Siemens software for the thingy there seems to be 3 wireless things picked up with Similar SSID's (one being my SSID)? is this normal? they are all on channel 13 too.

ive been having general problems with my Wireless too it very regularly disconnects and reconnects within 30-50 seconds though my signal strength rarely goes below 80%.
btw i have a psp also and have not been able to connect with that too.

btw it does not get past the 2nd internet connection test on the xbox, also i recently tried for the first time connected with my dads office WIFI ready laptop and it said it 'connected' with perfect signal quality etc, 54mbps but when i try going on IE and connect to any URL on it i get a windows error message saying 'Windows could not connect' or something, does that mean much? my dad phoned an office technician and he said it was because it was WPA-TSK encoded and we should be WEP?????
ive also tried entering in the IP adresses etc.
