Scanning with Dell 964

Does anyone have experience with scanning using the Dell 964 using a wireless printer adapter? I have a Dell 964 all-in-one printer with the Dell 3300 wireless printer adapter. Whenever I try to scan several pages (usually 5 or more) I am no longer able to access the scan settings I have set up on my computer with the Dell-All-In-One Center and the scanner stops responding when the scan button is pressed. I am running Windows XP. The only way I have found to fix this problem is to uninstall and then reinstall the printer driver.Everytime I scan several pages, I have to uninstall and reinstall the printer driver. Does anyone know of another way to solve this problem?

This seems like something you should take up with Dell, especially if the wireless adapter for the 964 unit is also from Dell.
