Newbie : Advice please

I have a wireless 11g network at home with 4 computers (all wireless) and one router/ broadband modem combined. I have been given another wireless router/modem. Can I use the second router to expand/enhance the coverage of the existing network and share the existing internet connection. If my understanding is correct use the second router as a repeater. Neither router has the documented option of behaving as a repeater.

I am not worried about file transfer between machines as much as internet connection.

New to all this but resonably IT literate, however be gentle.

Double-posting doesn't get answers any quicker. It just confuses things, if different approaches are explored. Your other thread at http://forums.practicallynetworked.com/showthread.php?t=7104 has additional information/activity, so this one will be closed.

There are also "common courtesy" aspects for others using these forums. So what that means... Unproductive postings (cross-posting, double posting, thread hi-jacking, etc.) ultimately degrade the effectiveness of the forums as an information source for all others.
