I currently live on a military base overseas and use a USB wireless adapter to connect to random access points placed around the base. The signal is quite weak and unless I hang my XBOX 360 out the window it would be virtually impossible to recieve the wireless signal. How exactly and what exactly would I need to set up a repeater? Access point? or Signal booster? Not quite sure what would work best in my situation, but almost every product I've looked at needed to be connected to a DSL modem and like I said I connect using a USB wireless adapter. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

A high gain antenna might help if it will connect to your equipment.

and/or a game adapter:

Will the gaming adapter still function correctly even though I don't have a wired connection to the internet? It seems when I read the setup documentation that I'm required to have a wired ethernet connection to a modem connecting to the internet. I however, don't. I use a wireless usb adapter to connect to our "lilly pad".
