Hi everyone,
I need a little help with a netwrking situation I have.
I ahve a house that has a cottage 50 yards away and I wish to network th two together and share the files, internet connection etc.
could anybody please tell me the best possible way to do this?
I have an hardware firewall which I wish to incorporate but I am unsure of what the best way would be to connect both of the properties.
Would wired instead of wireless be better?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Wireless could be a soloution if you dont want to deal with running the cable, but you would need to have a wireless router then buy an AP for the garden area, and the signal could be interfered with.

You could try some cat6 cabling, and just bury it in the ground a bit, and run it to your garden, and have the other end go into your router/firewall.

The "best" way to do is is whichever you want to do.

Thanks davis, I'm not to worried how about running cables or doing it wirelessly but I think your right, if I do do it wirelessly then I will get interference even though it is a quiet place. I think I may give the cabling a go.

Thanks for your advice.
