I am trying to figure out this wireless thing by myself and need help. I have a Dell 5160 with internal wireless. I will be doing some traveling as a Travel Nurse starting fall. I need to be able to access the internet where I go. Can someone give me some info on what I need to do or what equipment I need? I was looking into buying a wireless router for my house so I can use my laptop in other areas of my house. I was looking at Netgear WGT624 model...will this help me on my travel?

It would help you, but you would be dependent on the availability of public WIFI.
Many Business Hotels Airport etc. do provide Public Hot Spot. If your laptop is within the range of such a Hot Spot you would be able to log into the Internet with your current Wireless card.
However if you want a more full prove capacity to log onto the Internet on your own terms, you can subscribe to a Wireless Internet Service like Verizon provides. They would give you a special Wireless Card that you can install in your Laptop, this card is actually a special Cell Phone that can get into Verizon Cell system and be fed with the Internet (It is amore costly solution than the public Hot Spot one).
