Hello All,
I read the great article that recently came out from Practically Networked. I tried all the configurations and settings recommended by them. I was able to setup the remote desktop to work great here at home with my WiFi. My problem is that, when I'm away from my home, and I try to connect to my desktop at home, I cannot connect. It only works when I'm at home. Is there something I'm missing? Does anyone know a place where I can get a step by step tutorial on setting up "all parameters" involved to be able to access my home pc from another remote location? I'd greatly appreciate any help anyone could give me. :)

You need to forward/open TCP Port 3389 on any firewall/router the home PC is behind. Call the home PC using the public IP of the firewall/router or use a free dynamic naming service like No-IP.com to address the PC...

Of course this presumes the home PC is running XP Pro and that you have Remote Desktop enabled and have limited users defined in the Remote Desktop Users Group. Note administrators are automatically members of the Remote Desktop Users Group...

Thanks buddy. I'll give it a whirl and see what happens.

Thanks again! :)
