I have a linksys wrt54g router with a westell modem from verizon. This desktop has win98 and is WIRED. All cables are where they need to be. The power-on sequence is correct and so on. My only problem is that I can't seem to get internet once the router is connected.
I can access the router via web browser ...No problem. I can ping the router, No problem. I can't however, ping any websites. My internet works fine with just the modem.
I've had the worst luck attempting to install this router. I've called Verizon and they don't offer much help. They forwarded my call to Linksys and they didn't get very far..
I'm not sure if its the hardware or just me. Can someone please help ??
