total newbie needs help

i have a linksys...the wireless pc i have 9 out of 10 times when i close it (i mean shut the cover) and reopen it....does not have a connection...i have to reboot it every time...i try repairing the connection (my son told me to do this) and then i tried to disable and manually enable the connection...and i still have to reboot...

any suggestions?

Look to see if there are any driver updates that corrects the wireless NIC's "wake-up" performance. If it's a PC Card (e.g. not built into the notebook), you might also check for updated PC Card drivers too.
