Sooner Al 05-27-2006, 09:59 AM Presuming the desktop is connecting to your ISP via the dial up link you need to... 1. Enable ICS on the desktop PC so you can share the dial up link... http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp_ics/ 2. Configure your Linksys WRT54G in a wireless access point mode only. In general you want to disable the built-in DHCP server, assign a LAN IP address in the 192.168.0.X range (192.168.0.10 is a good choice), connect the Linksys to the PC with a straight 10BaseT Ethernet cable and most importantly configure wireless encryption so the laptop to WRT54G link is safe and secure. I suggest you read the WRT54G User Guide and go to the Linksysinfo.org site WRT54G forum for help from the experts doing all of that... http://www.linksysinfo.org/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewforum&f=6 Good luck...
