issue is as following
There are two IP subnets
The two subnets are connected via a router, as the router blocks the DHCP requests and all other Broadcasts from SUB B to SUB A, a DHCP relay agent is implemented to act as bridge between the DHCP Server in SUB A and Clients in SUB B
The Problem is:
- When a client in SUB B gets an IP address assigned, from the DHCP Server, the lease time is usually around 3 days.
When this client(Laptop) is then connected to SUB A, the client notices that the same DHCP server is used and keeps its IP from SUB B for the next 3 days.
Is that do to that there is no Superscope in the DHCP Server configurt ? would it solve the issue to do so ?
