Just got a D-Link DWL 520 wireless network adapter card to enable me connect wirelessly to my office which is about 3-4 km away. After successfully installing the card, the system cannot detect any network, even though I know there are at least 3 networks near my home. How can I get my PC to 'see' these networks pls and to connect successfully? Thanx for your quick response.

Well, that card will simply NOT connect to your office which is apparently 3-4 Km down the road. Its TOO far away...

As far as connecting to local wireless networks you need to the network encryption key which you can get from the network owner or setup your own local wireless network in your home which is connected to your personal ISP...

Have you looked at the product manual for the card? Depending on the version of your card you can download a copy from...
