Hi,

I have a wireless network as follows:

Cable modem - Wired -> Linksys wireless router WRT54G -> Linksys USB
Wireless adaptor -> Computer (A)

I think that my router is acting as a DHCP server.

Can I connect another computer (B) directly to the unused ethernet connection on Computer (A).

If yes what do I need to consider. Any suggestions of where I can look for further information and assistance in configuring.

Best wishes.

James.

Why not simply run an ethernet cable from PCB to the router?

If you need to use computer (a) as a wireless "bridge", then you have the following options:

- If computer (a) is running XP or Windows 2003, then you may be able to bridge the wireless and ethernet connections
- Otherwise you can run Windows Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) across Windows 98SE through Windows 2003

The second option may cause network sharing issues with computer (b) if you wish to share resources on computer (b), but generally has a higher rate of success.
