Okay, here is what I want to try. Please let me know if it will work.

I have to use ICS to share my broadband connection. My Wireless ISP connects to my PC through USB only.

I want to connect a Linksys WAP/4 port router (model# BEFW11S4) to my main Windows XP machine that is running ICS. Then, I will use a PCI interface card in my old NT 4 machine and a USB wireless network adapter (model# WUSB11) to connect my laptop.

Will this work? Will the BEFW11S4 router work with my PC using Internet Connection Sharing? Any issues I should be aware of?

Thanks,
Brian

You should be able to use the Linksys router as a switch only (i.e. only use the LAN ports). You have to use the ICS DHCP service. You need to ensure the Linksys DHCP Lan service is switched off. Also the Linksys LAN address (normally I think it has a default of something like 192.168.1.100) is on the wrong subnet for ICS so you have to change it to say 192.168.0.254 or set it, if possible, to get an IP address from a DHCP server (i.e. from ICS).

Everything should be set to get an IP address and DNS addresses automatically.
