I was following Microsoft's steps for recovering for Winsock corruption (see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811259). I deleted the Wisock entries in the registry, and then restarted the PC. When it came back up, I attempted to reinstall TCP/IP as directed on Microsoft's website. However, C:\Windows\inf does not exist on my PC. Any ideas what I need to do to get TCP/IP reinstalled?

Thanks,
JJ

This is not really a SOHO networking issue, which is the focus of these forums, but a desktop support question in keeping/maintaining your NOS (Network Operating System) healthy. The INF folder is hidden by default. You can enither unhide it or set Explorer to show hidden folders and files.
