I am going to bridge two different networks. Both are simple wi-fi networks in two different spots using the simple Linksys WRT54G routers. Right now both routers use the same WEP security protocalls. (This allows any of my devices that comes within range of either to auto connect)

What I want to know is how to bridge both networks so that the wired IP devices on both LANS can share.

Another challange I have is the distance. To solve that I am building a Yagi antenni and plan on attaching that to my bridge device.

(Here is a link on how to build a cheep yagi for those interested -

Anyway - here is my question. What type of bridge hardware would best suite me?

Cheep as I don't have a lot of money for this project.

thanks

Here is what I am going to try. I am going to change one of the wireless networks so that they are different SSID, IP address etc.

I got a cheep D-Link DWL-810 wireless bridge (that we were using to hook up xbox). I am going to attach my Yagi to it and point at the remote network.

Assuming that the bridge can see/attach to the remote network - I assume I should be able to share all devisces on both networks - Correct?

Is this all I need to do or am I missing somthing

tks
