Help
I have a desktop and a mobile laptop both on the same home wireless network. Is there any way I can get into my laptop from my desktop pc, both pcs are on all the time but I would like to sto ptravelling between the two just to get a few files from my laptop to my desktop, ..

Yes you can.
I'm not clear if you mean when both are on the wireless network or when the laptop is remote via the internet.
In either case you can use XP's remote desktop tool or a third party tool like UltraVNC (which is free and also does file transfer).

but yes , I meant when both are on the same wireless network in the same house. no internet needed, or if it is I have cablemodem and LAN constantly connected.

I got the spftware you suggested, installed it onto both computers, but they still will not connect.
I getthe IP adresses of each by using 'netstat -R' in the dos.
Am I doing anything wrong
