Hi everyone

When trying to login to a secure part of a website I get the alert box appear saying the connection was refused.

I have firefox, cookies enabled, zonealarm (free one) on medium and norton AV corporate. The laptop (packard bell easynote) is using a belkin wireless router F5D7231-4 with WPA-PSK encryption enabled.

My desktop isn't in the best of health as SMART is reporting an imminent HDD failure, and it is running really slowly at the moment and hanging sometimes.

I am using NAV on there as well and was having no problems.

The problem only seems to be when I try to get into a secure part of a website. Tried cloning the laptop MAC address but that screwed things right up and had to reset the router to get web access back...

Tried to get into halifax, pc world, barclaycard but every secure part on a website I try to get into pops up the alert box with 'connection refused'

Here is a screenshot

Must be something simple (I hope)............

I would suggest you try another browser just to rule that out, as I'm guessing it is firefox causing the problem. Try IE as everything should work with that (and those sites will probably need activeX working) , then you might at least know what's causing the problem.
