At the moment one side of my house is not picking up the wireless signal so I am wondering if there would be any problems if I picked up a router ran enough cable to make it to the other side of the house and plugged a wireless router in over there?

The setup would be cable modem to router the router having a direct line to one pc then another line running 100 feet around three rooms to a wireless router. I'm just wondering if going from router to wireless router would cause any problems? Or would the length of cable to a wireless router be a problem?

You could also pick up a wireless extension kit like this one: NETGEAR WGXB102 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833122062). Plug the XE102 Ethernet to powerline bridge into your current wireless router. Then plug the WGX102 powerline to 802.11g bridge into any electrical outlet on the side of the house where you need wireless coverage.

The only problem with those is I would have to buy a second pair as there are four pc's in my house at the moment and it is a bit pricey for four. Though that may be a good solution in a month or so after the holiday season.

I guess I'm not completely understanding your setup. Is your house one story or multiple? Are these desktop PCs that stay in one spot or laptops that need to move around?

Phoenix your solution as mentioned in your first post is usually the best solution.

The second Router has to be connected as a Switch with an Access Point.

Sorry about the confusion for some reason when I first looked at it I thought the Netgear was a powerline type network to get rid of the wireless all together. Didn't see that it was just a powerline wireless range extender which is a different thing all together.

I live in a two story the modem/router is located in the downstairs on the right side I get enough of a signal at the moment to use the pc located 30 feet away and through two walls but the signal is only receiving enough data to browse online and most of the time not even that. The upstairs computer is directly above that pc and while getting a good signal as well it isn't getting enough data to even open up internet explorer. I hope I explained that correctly I don't know all the correct terms and such but we've had this problem off and on with the past 6 routers all keep a good signal for awhile then slowly they begin to get weaker and weaker every 6 months or so hopefully this will fix that problem permanently.

Is the router high above the floor? Do you have the ability to move the router around the house? The second floor would probably give you a better whole house coverage.
