Greetings: I'm having an odd problem with one of my wireless networks, and some of the wireless computers that access it. The network is made up of three units broadcasting the wireless signal at different points in the building, resulting in an "Excellent" signal in over 98% of it. The network consists of a Linksys WRT54GS router and two Linksys WAP54G access points (both of which are hard-wired into the router).
The problem is this, two laptops (so far ... a Dell and an Apple) are both able to send/receive IM's, but neither can access the Internet or send/receive e-mail ... though both of these laptops are fully capable of IM, Internet access, and sending/receiving e-mail at all the other locations we tested recently.
I have set up about 2 dozen similar peer to peer networks, most with similar hardware, and have never had a problem like this one. Has anyone else ever had a similar circumstance? If so, what did you do to resolve the problem?
Thanks for your help!
Kindest Regards,
David
