hi. just a quick problem i've been experiencing lately with my wireless network wonder if anyone else has been able to replicate a similar problem...

set up: D-Link DSL-604+ ssid (office) ADSL Wireless Modem Router NAT for ADSL service, network gateway.
D-Link DWL-2000AP ssid (house) Wireless Access Point. ethernet cable between the two. been working fine for over 2 years

recently been experiencing a problem connecting to my ADSL service through the router whenever the access point is switched on and plugged in to network. internet will go down and router will not connect to service until access point switched off.

problems ruled out - ethernet cable, other devices/computers, IP conflicts, wireless channel or any wireless settings.

i've quite literally exhausted every possibility i can think of short of trying another access point. but just wondering if anyone else has ever had a similar problem with the combination of this hardware? if you have, how did you resolve it?

I cannot think of anything in an AP would cause that. If you also lose PC connectivity via the router LAN ports then I would suspect the AP LAN port is faulty.

The problem would happen if you have given the DWL-2000AP the same IP address as the router.
