I have a D-Link DSL-G604T wireless router connected to ADSL which I am using quite happily with my PC wired into it and with another PC wireless configured into it. they are both using a the internet and browsing each others shares. The PC's are both DHCP because the D-Link DSL-G604T is a DHCP Server and are obtaining IP address. the range on the D-Link DSL-G604T is ??.??.1.2 to ??.??.1.10 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. Where my problem lies is I want to wirelessly connect my Xbox in. I have bought a Netgear WGE111 802.11g Wireless Games Adapter which I have given a static IP address of ??.??.1.202. I have also given my xbox a static IP address of ??.??.1.222. I have run the software that comes with the Netgear WGE111 802.11g Wireless Games Adapter (while the Netgear WGE111 802.11g Wireless Games Adapter was wired into the network) and it has found the SSID of my D-Link DSL-G604T wireless network and connected to it. I have given both device the same ssid name and channel number how ever as soon as I take the wire out of the adapter it will not connect. I have not got and security on at the moment until I have got it all working.
