Can not make network....work

I have both my desktop and laptop hooked up and set up the wireless network wizard on Win XP. My desktop shows my shared network folder from my laptop but will not allow me to open it. My laptop does not even show my desktop's shared network folder. I am not even 100% sure my network was set up correctly. I am new to this wireless and networking. Any help would be much appreciated.

I am guessing that this problem is what is keeping me from sharing my printer also.

By reading your description about your Network I cannot get a clear idea of what you have, and how it is connected.

dbone, this thread appears to be somewhat cross posted with some aspects of your other thread at:

It might make more sense for you to stick to the file and print sharing issues on this thread or delete this thread altogether, based on what has already transpired. Otherwise, you stand the risk of having confusing/conflicting information/approaches concerning the resolution of your file and print issues going forward.
