Bosses you gotta hate em. Hi all I need some advice

My boss who own's an IT Consultancy and knows nothing about computers has asked me to get our new offices wireless enabled.

Problem is that there are several rooms on the same floor he wants wireless enabled and all connecting to the same server. The walls are pretty thick.

I tried out my own wireless which is a Netgear WGT634U. I placed it in the same room the server is going to be in and got 5 bars of signal, but just outside and down the hall I get 2 bars.

He wants it done on the cheap and he wants me to do it... ugh
I need a setup that works well cause theres just so much BS your boss can take (the krypton of the wireless routers dylithium crystals cant work without a full moon and stuff like that :D ) before he asks another IT guy.

About 7 Dell laptops with Intel Pro/Wireless 2100 and 2 compaq laptops with yet to be bought wireless PCMCIA cards are going to use the wireless.

Im thinking of these setups:

Belkin Pre-N 108MB MIMO (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=&Section_Id=202570&pcount=&Product_Id=184316)

NETGEAR WGM124 Pre-N MIMO 108 Mbps (http://www.netgear.com/products/details/WGM124.php)

Linksys WRT54GX (http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?childpagename=US%2FLayout&packedargs=c%3DL_Product_C2%26cid%3D1115416825933&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper)

Netgear WPN824 Rangemax (http://www.netgear.com/products/details/WPN824.php)

Linksys WRT54GS (http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?childpagename=US%2FLayout&packedargs=c%3DL_Product_C2%26cid%3D1126536698937&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper) & 2 Linksys WRE54G Range Expander's (http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?childpagename=US%2FLayout&packedargs=c%3DL_Product_C2%26cid%3D1115416829757&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper) placed in other rooms. And I might be able to get him to use ebay and buy some upgraded 9dbi Antenna.

If you know of any other setups which i could look into please reply. Thanks in advance for any help.

I just picked up a Belkin pre-n router today and let me tell you it rocks. Blazing fast. Awesome signal. When I finally got my old wireless b router working yesterday, I could only get a very good signal when it was right next to the router and it was dial up slow. Now with the belkin, the pc is about 30 ft away through 3 wood paneled walls and I still get excellent signal and I just downloaded quicktime and itunes at over 700k per second. It was on sale at compusa for $89US. I highly recommend it.

Thanks for the reply. Ive seen a few reviews and the belkin pre-N gets high marks on signal.

Im just worried about the concrete walls it needs to go through, although if the signal can bounce alot it could go through the door's or even the through the suspended ceiling tiles and bouce of the roof?
