Hi:

I've got three computers in my house networked using Direcway Satellite system using a netgear 16 port switch. I've got Ethernet run through the house and the network is running fine. But I've got this great deck and screened in porch and want to work outside most of the time.

So, my question - before I go spend the money - is: Can I buy a wireless router (like D-Link G) and plug into one of my Ethernet ports in the house, set up wireless and use that too with Satellite? Any experience with this?

Thanks for your time

Yes you can.
Get an Access Point and plug it into your switch.

I recommend 802.11 a/b/g tri mode devices.
e.g.

Thanks for the response. What's the difference between a wireless router and an Access Point? Thanks.
