I am running a small (3 PC) W2K Pro home network through a Linksys router. This network has been up and running for more than a year with no issues. We are all running the latest service packs and updates.

We are in a workgroup no server. PC#1 cannot see anyone in 'My network places' however can ping by IP and by Netbios name computers #2 and #3. Also can connect to their printers and shares by \\computername\printer name etc.

Computers #2 and #3 can see all three PC's in 'My Network Places" however cannot access PC #1. They cannot ping it either but they can ping each other successfully and have access to each others shares and printers .

We can all access the internet no problem.

Have tried rebooting on numerous occasions. there is a 'userenv' error inEvent viewer regarding 'Windows cannot unload your registery file' on PC 1and yesterday there was an event error regarding "Master browser issues on
PC #2.

Have removed PC1 from the Workgroup, then back in, shut down and left it over night.
Have tried resetting the binding order.

Thanks for any help on this issue.

First guess would be a firewall somewhere.

Second would be a problem with the PC node types (check with ipconfig /all) - anything except 'peer-peer' is OK.
