Hi Guys,

I see that this part of the boards is pretty quite so I hope this gets noticed!

I recently started working for a company who has 2 offices in different towns.

Currently they use a Kilostreme direct connection thing to connect the two together for their databases to communicate (I guess thats the reason).

Anyway, they are looking into getting broadband, or rather, they are going to get broadband but we're not sure whether we can do what we currently do with the Kilostreme

The Kilostreme is running at a whopping 64k and the prospect of 1-2mbps compared is a very attractive one!

The machines are running Linux in the offices (The supplier is a Microsoft hater) and all the programs which use the kilostreme, are linux programs.

If anyone has any questions (Not too sure if I was too clear there) then just ask, and if anyone can help then that would be appreciated!

Edit: Both offices will be getting broadband.

I'm not a linux person so I can't offer too much. But as a principle if you go to broadband then you're connecting over open internet and need to secure the connection between the offices and tunnel with something like a firewall/VPN router at each end.

But I'm not really sure what the question was anyway.
