I want to let anybody considering to use or using Verizon that it can take over the claimed 24-48 hours to get anybody to call back or work on connection issues. After a total of 10 phone calls, I finally got a voice after speaking to their computer system. After reading me standard texts on their computer screen, they checked the line & admitted that the issue was on their side. They were unwilling to "reset" their system to allow internet access.
We're now WAY OVER the 48 hour mark and have not heard anything. I'm very disappointed to be "stuck" in a contract with Verizion. If I had a chance, I would switch back to Cable (at higher costs) within a second!!!
However, should you have ever have problems, are willing to live for a long-time without an internet connection, and need to pinch pennies, Verizon is for you.

Every ISP has their "ups and downs", it's more of the luck of the draw than anything. I have had 2 weeks of down time from SBC with their DSL offering the past. The main thing is are they willing to honor the fact that they were unable to deliver their services with the appropriate credit...
