I have a friend who lives one block away from me. I have a perfect line of sight to his house. We both have DSL, and are using WRT54G Linksys routers, BUT we want to connect to each other over a LAN connection. Can I beam a signal over to his house that he can receive and with a switch connect our two networks. The end result we want is to share a few of our hard drives, as well as connect our x-boxes over a LAN instead of just x-box live. I know I will have to buy a few things to make this happen. Any help or direction will be appreaciated!

If each one is using a Directional Antenna on his Wireless and the two Antenna can see each other it might work up to few hundred feet.
