I have a linksys wireless b router. 1 desk top (wired to router) 1 laptop. If i have the laptop connecting to the home network wirelessly, I can connect to the internet but not the desktop. If I plug my laptop into the router, it see's the desktop and internet without problems. Why does it need to be wired in order for it to access the desktops shares??? I am ready to drop test the works from my roof, so any help would be appriciated. Thanks!!!

Any chance that you are running a firewall on any of the machines?

I figured it out - I'm a moron. I was trying to upload a torrent and while troubleshooting that I hard coded the dns servers from my isp on my wireless nic (but not the LAN nic - therefore they could still see each other if both were wired to the router). thanks for your reply though!
