Hi

I'm trying to cobble together a network using some bits and peices lying around. I've got a cable modem internet connection, and can use a netgear RP314 router for that.

I'd like to use a spare wireless router (A Netgear DG834GT) as an access point. I can't use that as a router because it's an ADSL router, and therefore won't work with the cable modem.

If I just run a cable between the RP314 and the DG834GT, will it act as a wireless access point ? (I'm doing this at a distance, so want to know if I'm telling the guy to do something that has a chance of working)

Thanks for any assistance.
