I have a new set-up - a DLink DI-624 Air Plus Xtreme G router and my Sony laptop has the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG card built in. At first, I set up the network to work with our family computer which has a matching DLink Xtreme G card. I found that my connection with the Sony (obviously a non-optmized Xtreme G card) was erratic and I would get all types of throughput speeds from 54 down to 1 mbps. So, I set the router up to output in "G" mode only and with no Super Turbo, just 54mbps. However, now when I connect after start up, I get a message that there is little or no connection to the router. When I then "repair" the connection, it works fine until I shut the computer down. Basically, I have to repair the connection each time I sign into the network. Any ideas?
